ABOUT ABOUT

This two hour workshop gives you a chance to learn the basics of writing for sketch comedy. Through watching and critiquing video sketches and collectively reading and workshopping a script with classmates you’ll learn how much fun taking a comedy class at PHIT can be. You’ll meet some new people who are also sketch comedy fans while you’re at it! If you have ever thought about taking a sketch writing class, but would prefer to “try before you buy” this is the place for you!

This class is perfect for people of all experience levels. You do not need to have prior experience or be an writer / comedian. PHIT has students from all walks of life and all ages. We have people that are looking to make a go of sketch writing, but we have also had students that were just looking to meet new people, flex their creative writing skills, try something new, or simply have fun for two hours each week. There is no commitment here to register for a full class, only come in ready to have a good time.

WHAT STUDENTS SAY ABOUT MOLLY
"Molly is incredible! She has a great ability to critique and make suggestions without making anyone feel inadequate or lacking ability." -- "I loved Molly's enthusiasm for comedy. Her energy kept me going and she was always great at sandwiching compliments with criticism so I never felt discouraged from playing and being vulnerable." -- "The only negative thing about Molly's class was that it had to eventually come to an end!"
