Intermediate Improv and Scenework Techniques: In this class, students will work the skills they were previously introduced to with more targeted exercises the help them explore the concepts of character, relationship, and environment on stage more deeply. They will also learn how to recognize and build on patterns to advance their scenes. Students will begin to learn elements of structure for performance and create fully improvised scenes with more than two performers.
Prerequisite: PHIT Improv 101

CAITLIN WEIGEL BIO
Caitlin Weigel began performing in 2010 with Temple University’s improv team, Fowl Play. In May of 2010, she was cast on the Philly Improv Theater house team, Asteroid!, under the direction of Mike Marbach. Asteroid! was voted Best Improv Team by the 2013 WitOut Awards for Philadelphia Comedy and was also voted Best Short Run for their improvised horror and sci-fi B-Movie. She currently performs with the PHIT house team, The Future, and directs the Harold team, Codename Highgarden.
Additionally, Caitlin has performed in the improvised puppet show Friends of Alcatraz, the monthly improv series John Hughes High, the PHIT ensemble The Sham, the Figment Theater team Frigg (directed by Hilary Kissinger), the Figment Theater team Triple-Double (directed by Maggy Keegan), the independent team Bad James, and in Royal Baby, a duo with Erin Pitts. She has performed in the Del Close Marathon, F Harold, Boston Comedy Arts Festival, the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, and the Philadelphia Improv Festival.
Caitlin is also an avid list-maker and a frequent napper.
