Introduction to Acting: In this class, students will explore basic acting skills fundamental to performance. Some concepts to be examined are action, objectives, tactics, and script analysis. This class will culminate in an exploration and showing of scenes and monologues. Viewing of theatrical performances in Philadelphia followed by a discussion will also be a part of this class.
Prerequisites: None!

Day: Monday
Dates: 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26 & 3/5
Time: 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
Class Performance: Saturday, March 10th, 2017 @ 3:00 p.m. (Second Stage)

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Amy Frear is an actress and filmmaker based out of Philly. She has performed regionally with Theatre Exile, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Stonington Opera House Arts, Hedgerow, and Found Theater Company, among many devised and experimental projects. As a filmmaker, her films have been shown with the Philadelphia Film Society, Trenton Film Society, Garden State Film Festival, Cache Cache NYC, New Hope Film Festival, and others. She holds her MFA in Acting from the University of Washington in Seattle. www.amyfrear.com
