IMPROV TO SKETCH ELECTIVE
Students will use the skills initially taught in our beginner class: listening, creating characters, and establishing relationships to learn how to write sketch comedy. During the first half of class, students will spend more time creating improvised scenes with partners, with feedback and discussion about what makes a comedy sketch. The second half of class will focus on using those improvised scenes to write sketches in groups and rehearse the sketches. The class will culminate in a live performance of the written sketches for families and invited guests. Pre-requisite: Completion of one session of Beginner Long-Form Improv at PHIT Comedy, or approval of the Kids & Teens Coordinator.
